King Tut

100 Years of Discovery

With Renowned Egyptian Art Historian
Dr. Bob Bianchi

November 12 - 23, 2022

Arguably the most well known Pharaoh of Egypt, the boy king Tutankhamen is as synonymous with ancient Egypt as the Great Pyramid and Sphinx in Giza. Our journey concentrates on visiting sites associated with Tutankhamen, including the new Grand Egyptian Museum purposely built to house artifacts retrieved from his tomb. We end in Luxor at a special celebration marking 100 years since Howard Carter discovered Tutankhamen’s undisturbed tomb. Although Tutankhamen enjoyed only a short reign with few grand accomplishments compared to other noteworthy pharaohs, it was the discovery of his immaculate burial treasures that captivated the world. In between you will visit the some of grandest monuments across Giza, Saqqara, Abydos, Sohag, and Luxor, as well as exploring more recent histories in Coptic and Islamic Cairo.
